What is a goddess? 
Traditionally, in Wicca, the Goddess is seen as the Triple Goddess. She has three forms: the maiden, the mother and the crone. Representing the three stages of life, and is considered a 'fertility' goddess. She can be associated with any goddess (like Hecate) or mean multiple. 
Throughout the year, the goddess plays a role in all eight sabbats and is often associated with the moon. 

This goddess is known as the Luna goddess; it represents wisdom and magical power. The spiral featured represents growth and evolution, and her belly contains the light within the darkness. Her hands above her head create a halo of sacred knowledge.
